Liberty Bowl              Memphis, TN.    
     

During the week of December 28 through January 1, 1999, the Elkins High School Fighting Tiger Marching Band, went to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis Tennessee. During the week we participated in a field show and parade competition. Also, we had the chance to perform during the half-time show with eight other bands. The bands included: Bayless High School, Missouri; Coffee County High School, Georgia; Cuba High School, Missouri; Elkins High School, West Virginia; Escamba High School, Alabama; Felicity-Franklin High School, Ohio; Freeport High School, Illinois; Hollywood Hills High School, Florida; and Hopkins County High School, Kentucky.


During the week the Elkins High School Fighting Tiger Marching Band came home with seven trophies. They included:

  • Outstanding Percussion
  • Outstanding Drum Major
  • Outstanding Musical Performance
  • Outstanding Marching and Maneuvering
  • Outstanding General Effect
  • First Place Parade
  • First Place Field Show
