NEW HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING
OUR NEW HOME

The new building designed by Frank L. Packard, of Columbus, Ohio, an architect of rare ability and reputation, will be, when completed, one of the finest building in the state. In fact, it will be second to none in plan, structure, and beauty. It will be a three story structure, but owing to the ground floor being on a level with the sidewalk, the stair climbing will be no greater than that of the present a Central Building.
On the ground floor will be an auditorium, with balcony entrance from the second floor, the seating capacity of the auditorium being seven hundred. On the same floor will be four class rooms for grades, two rooms for domestic science, one for manual training and the executive offices.
On the second floor will be an addition to the balcony, eight class rooms for grades, rest rooms, and offices. The third floor will be the home of the high school. In addition to study hall which will accommodate one hundred and twenty-five students there will be seven class rooms, laboratories, library and office.
The halls and stairways will be
fireproof; the heating and ventilating systems are the best and will be
controlled automatically. The building is to be built on the corner of
Henry Avenue and 2nd Street where the old Central Building stood. The High
School expects to move into the new building next January. (1915)
